YOSEMITE 2021

We planned on going to Yosemite last year, but COVID cancelled our plans. We were excited to visit this year.

CURRY VILLAGE

We stayed in the tent-cabins at Curry Village. Audrey had recently watched Parent Trap so she insisted on banging sticks together to keep the wild animals away.

HIKING IN YOSEMITE
Audrey loved all the beautiful wildflowers.
It was nice to see so much greenery after living in AZ.

Audrey at the Happy Isles

The rivers were beautiful!

JR RANGER
Audrey earned her Jr Ranger badge.

MIRROR LAKE
We had a nice hike to Mirror Lake.

The water was cold, but felt nice after our hike.

WILDLIFE

Every night we picnicked by a field full of deer.
We got pretty close look at a large bear.

LOWER YOSEMITE FALLS

VISTOR'S CENTER
Brooklyn and Audrey loved the wooden tee pee
The visitor's center was closed due to COVID but we were able to enjoy some of the exhibits outdoors and Audrey and I attended a fascinating Ranger talk about rock fall in Yosemite.

MAGESTIC VIEWS AND WATERFALLS

It was amazing to look up at the soaring peaks from the valley. We had never seen such steep, high cliff faces before.
Seeing El Captain in person made the movie Free Solo even more impressive.

You can't tell from the pictures, but you could see a beautiful rainbow made by the spray at the base of Bridal Veil falls.

Nathan with Nevada, Vernal, and Bridal Falls in the background.

Half Dome at sunset was gorgeous!
It was a beautiful 3 days in Yosemite.
