FAMILY FUN

DEER CHILDREN

HIKING

We've been enjoying perfect weather this month.  We are doing more family hikes now that Jared has a pack to carry Brooklyn.  We especially enjoyed our hike to Fat Man's pass.

PRESIDENT NELSON

We were blessed to have President Nelson and Elder Oaks come speak to us at the State Farm stadium.

VALENTINE'S DAY

Brooklyn made "Mrs. Valentine's Day" at preschool and it has become her new best friend. 

The kids made boxes/bags for the homeschool Valentine's party.  

SEWING

I've been attempting to give the girls sewing lessons.  They make these cute decorative bow pillows for their beds.

FRIENDS

We love it when our friends come to play.

Brooklyn loves storytime every Friday with Miss Jill.

Brooklyn has found a vacuum part that she calls her flute.  She loves to practice with it often.

JAPANESE GARDENS

February was Maddy's month to have a parent outing and she chose to see the Japanese gardens. 

PINEWOOD DERBY

Jared and Nathan ran into some trouble with the car they built this year, so they decided to race their car from last year.  It ended up winning 2nd place and "Skinniest car."

January 2019

NEW YEARS EVE

We arrived in Boise just in time to celebrate New Years with everyone.  We had fun playing games and making noise.

DRESSING UP

The little girls had a lot of fun with Grandma's princess dress up, and Abby and Maddy enjoyed getting a make over by their Aunt Jessica and Aunt Afton.

The kids had fun ice skating and looking at lights with their Idaho cousins.

MADDY TEMPLE

Due to the recent church policy changes, Maddy was able to go to the temple for the first time.  It was a beautiful experience watching her get baptized in behalf of her ancestors.

FAMILY FUN

Audrey was thrilled to get a hand me down Minnie Mouse dress from one of her cousins.

Brookyn and Audrey love the new water table from Grandma and Grandpa.

My kids figured out how to take weird pictures on my phone. 

HIKING AZ

We have hiked almost every weekend in January.  The weather this time of year is perfect and it makes for a fun, free date night.  We have some trails just a few minutes from our house that offer a beautiful view of the valley and the temple.

ZOO LIGHTS

Abby won a drawing for 2 free tickets to the Phoenix Zoo lights from her dentist's office.  She and Jared enjoyed the lights and the giant bugs.
