Climbing Bear

Maddy is growing up so fast it is hard to keep up with her. She still only takes a few steps but that doesn't stop her from getting into things. The other day I heard her laughing while I was doing dishes. I went out to find that she had climbed up into the rocking chair and was rocking herself. Maddy is a great climber. I've found her climbing up Abby's step stool to reach the sink, and I have to watch to keep her from climbing up chairs and onto the table. Most of all she loves to climb into our cupboards and pull out pots and pans. Jared was sweet and drove down to Portland on his day off to buy some beds for the girls. When he came home with the beds Maddy got very excited to have some new boxes to climb on!

Usually I let Abby put on chapstick while I put on my make up in the morning. One morning I looked up after putting on my make up to realize that Abby had used my chapstick to decorate our bathroom window. She was so proud of herself I didn't have the heart to get mad at her. Here is her creation. Pretty good in an abstract sort of way. I thought I'd enter it in some art show to see if I could get some money for it.

Welcome

Now that it is 2009, we decided to join the rest of you in the 21st century and start a blog. Hopefully it will help us all stay more connected with each other. We may not have too many profound thoughts to share, but at least we can promise you lots of cute pictures of the girls. I plan to update it at least once a month, so feel free to check it whenever you get bored. Also be sure to comment whenever you get the urge. That way I don't feel like I'm writing to myself.
