Bluebonnets

My two favorite things about spring are my girls in their Easter dresses and Texas bluebonnets.

Abigail's 12th Birthday

We had a family party for Abby this year and decided to make it music themed.  The kids decorated and drew notes on balloons, and we played Encore together for our game.

Abby was excited to get clothes and Legos from her grandparents and a mini American girl doll and books from us.

She was even more excited when we brought out one last gift that we "forgot about." Abby was so excited her face beamed!  Audrey looked at the case and and the flute sections inside and asked, "Abby, why do you have two flutes?"

Abigail is such a joy to have in our family.   Abby is enthusiastic and loves having an excuse to plan a party.  She is super sweet with her younger siblings, and we are loving having a built in babysitter.  Abby is a musician, and artist, and a reader.  We are really proud of all the progress she has made on the piano and we are excited to see what she is able to do with the flute.  We are proud of the talented, beautiful, and faithful young woman Abby has become.

BROOKLYN AT ONE YEAR OLD:

Brooklyn is by far my clingiest baby.  Her favorite word is Momma.  She can also say "Hi" and "Dad."  She loves music and signs MUSIC when she sees my phone.  She prefers Baroque, Classical, Romantic, or Piano guys.  Once I hand her the phone, she either waves it or cuddles it as she rocks back and forth to the music or bounces up and down.  She gets mad if any rock music comes on and pushes the phone away.  She also signs DOG, MORE, MILK, ALL DONE, MOM, DAD, and SHOES.  Brooklyn likes to stay up late at night to have special time with mom and dad.  She still doesn't always sleep through the night, but that may be because she is in our closet and hears us.  Brooklyn loves baby dolls and likes to kiss, hug, and rock them.  Brooklyn is happiest in her mother's arms at all times.  She doesn't walk yet, but she crawls around and is good at reaching things on her knees.  Brooklyn definitely manages to get into things a lot.  She loves patty-cake, peek a boo, and books.  We feel lucky to have such a sweet little leprechaun in our family.

Audrey kept bringing me Abby's dress and saying, "It's kind of my size."

Audrey has never seen the show, but she got a kick out of meeting the ninja turtles at the Mayborn.

Audrey spent a few days being my kitty.









Then she wanted to be my bunny for a few days.



NATHAN



I'm proud of Nathan trying something new.  Nathan lucked out and got two terrific coaches.  He had fun playing basketball with the Wolverines.

The kids built these fun leprechaun traps.  They only caught picture of leprechauns, but they were left some chocolate gold coins.
