WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS
Every Wednesday we go on an outing to get us out of the house and to give ourselves a little break from homeschool.
Visiting the arboretum
The boys looked like cardinals perched in the trees in their red shirts.
The flowers were beautiful.
Playing at the Mayborn museum
Audrey likes working in the play garden
It is hard to believe that it is April and already warm enough to swim in an unheated, outdoor pool. The kids with their Easter baskets.
Nathan got a lot of eggs.
The kids sorting their candy
Audrey showing me a yellow egg she found
Racing to find eggs in the backyard. In Texas you need to gather your eggs quickly before the chocolate melts into a gooey mess.
Brooklyn is covering her face, but after many attempts, this was the best Easter Sunday picture we could come up with. I think it would take a miracle for all 7 of us to look at the camera and smile nicely at the same time.
Brooklyn meeting her cousin Levi for the first time. They were born exactly 1 month apart.
I can already tell that they are going to get along great.Nathan likes having a baby boy he can hold.
Rachel and I are enjoying being moms of new babies together. It is fun to go into the mother's lounge at church and have your sister there to talk to.
Brooklyn and Levi chillin' in their car seats.
38 IS GREAT!
Sweet little Audrey bringing me my birthday present.
Jared granted my wish for some delicious, homemade apple pie. I'm excited to start this next year of my life. Here's to making 38 great!
It was great to have my parents come in town for a few days for Brooklyn's baby blessing.
Brooklyn sleeping in Grandpa D's arms.
Brooklyn really liked her Grandpa Collett too.
Brooklyn loves cuddling the new bear that she got from Grandma Collett.
Dinner at Ninfa's on my parents' last night with us.
CAMERON PARK ZOO
Pretty butterfly that landed right by us.
The kids were excited to see the cute baby orangutan again.
My dad has the orangutan beat when it comes to height, but it was amazing to see how big its hands and feet were compared to my dads.
Maddy feeding a giraffe
Nathan feeding a giraffe
Audrey was a little afraid to feed the giraffe, but she was happy to do it with Mom's help. It was amazing to see how long and black the giraffe's tongue was.
Audrey about to go down the otter slide.
Brooklyn right before her blessing.
Brooklyn with her siblings
Jared's eyes are closed, but this was the best picture we were able to get as a family.
Brooklyn with her Donaldson grandparents
Brooklyn with her mom.
The girls saved their chore money and bought a tent for their dolls to go camping in. For sewing, I helped them make sleeping bags and pillows for their dolls to use. I also helped them make their own doll campfire.
Audrey loves the movie Frozen. Here she is dressing up as Elsa with her big sister.
Audrey really enjoyed having me read her this book from the library. It is about a baby who gets his first haircut. Audrey must have been inspired by it because she decided to get her little scissors and cut her own hair. She managed to cut a few curls off the front of her head before we realized what she was doing.

Nathan got some itchy chigger bites on his legs at his gardening class. I took a picture to send to Jared at work to confirm that's what they were. Audrey decided she needed a picture of her legs too. When I put ointment on Nathan's legs to help relieve the itching, Audrey insisted that she needed some too.

This book is what Audrey calls her "Facebook." She likes to look at it when she goes potty.
