Dear Family and Friends,
Merry Christmas! We hope you find peace and healing in Christ at this beautiful time of the year. We enjoy seeing your pictures and updates. Here is what our family has been up to:
We are loving life in Arizona. We enjoy hiking and the outdoors in the beautiful winter weather, and we spend our summers swimming at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, which we are lucky to have only 3 minutes from our house. We love our ward, and enjoy living near a temple and a Costco. For our family vacation this year we took a trip to Yellowstone and saw geysers, hot springs, bears, and bison.
We also enjoyed visiting our family in Utah and Idaho.
Mary loves homeschooling and teaching art as part of Maddy's co-op. She has enjoyed being a primary teacher, and was recently called as the Primary chorister. When Mary isn't busy with kids, she enjoys date night hikes, swimming, book group, and Wednesday night basketball.
Dental school keeps Jared really busy. He spent most of his time off this year working on remodeling our house. Jared enjoys working with Nathan as the 10 year old scout leader. He spent the summer at Officer Development School in Rhode Island where he learned the ins and outs of Navy life.
Abby(13) loves reading, music, and sewing. She spent the summer singing and dancing as part of a summer dance/choir program. Abby is trying out public school this year, and she enjoys band and choir. She also achieved her Young Women Recognition award.
Maddy(12) also loves reading, music, and sewing. She enjoys homeschooling, especially now that she is part of a co-op with her friends. Maddy is excelling in art, and did well in her performance as part of the summer choir/dance program. Maddy worked hard and earned her Young Women Recognition award in just one year.
Nathan(10) enjoys reading, LEGOs, and music. He started public school, and he enjoys being in band and playing the clarinet. Nathan has done well in scouts and has earned his Bear award.
Audrey(5) is busy and creative. She is most often found reading, dressing up, or doing arts and crafts. Audrey loves our neighborhood preschool co-op and her hula dance class.
Brooklyn(2) is our sweet little red-headed caboose. She is working hard with her speech therapist on learning to talk. She loves Duplos, Frozen, and Jack-Jack from the Incredibles.
