TRIP TO SEE FAMILY SUMMER 2021

DONALDSON INDPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION!
We had fun learning about Grandpa's family with a trivia game.

The children's parade was a highlight

The food was also delicious!  We also enjoyed swinging, a slip n slide, and volleyball.

THOMAS

We visited our sweet Thomas.

We saw Big Foot on the trail.

These kids were tough! A 15 mile hike and I didn't hear one complaint the whole way up.

Fields of bluebells

Small mountain springs

Definitely one of the prettiest hikes I've ever been on.

 COLONIAL DAYS

The kids wanted to put mom in the stocks.

A new punishment for kids.
Audrey enjoyed acting the part of a spy. She told this woman the secret phrase to get the key.

The characters dressed up and told us the stories of the Revolution.

The kids carried water the old fashioned way and learned a new appreciation for indoor plumbing.

SLIP N SLIDE

The hills by the cabin is full of fun possibilities. The kids sled it in the winter and slide down it in the summer.

Resting at the top

Brooklyn whined a lot on the way up, but she made it the whole way without being carried!
After our hike Grandpa met us at the BYU Creamery and treated us to some delicious ice cream.

BRIDAL VIEL FALLS

I met up with two of my ASL Roommates from BYU.  Our kids had fun hiking Bridal Veil Falls together and I enjoyed visiting and catching up with Kate and Shauntai.

CURIOSITY MUSEUM

What kid doesn't love a little door just their size.
Grandma used her Grandparents pass to treat us all to a day at the museum.
The older kids enjoyed the high ropes course.
The Magic Shop
A puppet show

Climbing in the gardens

MAX'S BIRTHDAY
We arrived in Utah just in time to enjoy Max's birthday party
Brooklyn and Audrey enjoyed being spoiled by their cousin Emily.

The kids had fun walking behind these artificial falls

We ended the party with a fun round of miniature golf.

BOISE

Jared had a school conflict that cut our trip to Boise short, but we made the most of our 2 days in Idaho by packing in lots of family time. On our first day we a nice swim party and delicious dinner at Bryan and Afton's house.
Audrey dressing up in her aunt Afton's old cheerleading uniform

I failed to take pictures, but we also had a fun pizza and game night our next day. It was wonderful for the cousins to play and for the adults to visit together.
