AUGUST 2024

OUR BEAUTIFUL ISLAND
This picture is from Blue Cave, but we spent the summer snorkeling all over the island. The water, the fish, and the coral here are all so beautiful!

HOMESCHOOL

We used Oreos to learn about the phases of the moon in homeschool.

SHOE SHOPPING

Some fun finds while doing back to school shoe shopping

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
Nathan is a sophomore and Maddy is a senior.

GOOD-BYE TO ABBY

Abby left for Utah and there were lots of tears because it’s hard sending our little girl to the other side of the world, but we know BYU, my parents, and her Heavenly Father will take good care of her. Go Cougars!

NEW CAR

We have a new teenager car! It’s the cutest little Japanese Daihatsu Mira Gino with a lawn mower size engine.

ANNIVERSARY TRIP TO OKUMA

Jared and I recently celebrated our 22nd Anniversary with a trip to Okuma beach.
We saw a beautiful sunset!

Our room was right next to the ocean

We explored the area on a little surrey bike.

We hiked to the top of a hill and met lots of large spiders.

We also enjoyed a delicious lunch at Yamaneko, snorkeled at Gorilla Chop, and were cheesy and visited the heart rock on Kouri island.
TOUR OF THE AMERICA

Our friend Kelsey, who is a Navy dentist, gave us a tour of the USS America where she often works. It was fascinating to see what life is like on a ship. It made me appreciate even more the sacrifices military members make when they leave their families and comforts of home. One marine asked Audrey if she would want to work on a ship like the America and she said, “No. It’s too hot!”
