BROOKY BEAR

All ready for church!

Sleeping on Daddy

Brooklyn loves to sit up and play, but refuses to even attempt crawling.  If I put her on her tummy she either rolls over and cries for me to pick her up, or she sits herself up so she can play.

THE ZOO

Maddy designed her own LEGO zoo to put her animal creations in.

Audrey loves climbing on the statues at the zoo.

It is nice now that it has finally cooled down enough to visit the zoo.  The kids especially love watching the baby gibbon and the new baby orangutan.

AUDREY BEAR

Our little Cinderella decided to make a bed for herself by the fireplace.  She tried to convince us to let her sleep on it instead of going to bed.

Audrey rocking her "real live baby" in her doll cradle.
Audrey sitting with a scarecrow at the orthodontist's office.

One day Audrey was refusing to nap and insisted that she had to go potty (one of her favorite excuses).  When we went back in we found that she had fallen asleep on the bathroom floor with her pants down.

NEW HAIR COLOR

After highlighting my hair for so long, I took Jared's advice and dyed my hair a dark auburn (which is close to my natural color).  It took a little getting used to, but I think I like it.

THANKSGIVING

Audrey was super excited to help cook Thanksgiving dinner.

She was so excited that she refused to nap and ended up falling asleep sitting up at the table.
All ready for Thanksgiving dinner!

Our Thankful tree.
Brooklyn loved the rolls!
Jared was up late making pies the night before Thanksgiving.  The next morning Audrey came out of the kitchen and informed him, "Hi Dad.  Don't worry.  I was just licking the pies."  Jared went in to find little finger holes in all the pies where Audrey had stuck her fingers in.  Audrey didn't really care for most of the food.  She kept telling us she was still hungry despite having a plate full of food.  We finally figured out that what she was really telling us was that she was still hungry for pie!
Abby and Maddy made a Thanksgiving feast for their dolls.  They even baked a small bowl of sweet potatoes with mini marshmallows on it.

Our little Brook all ready to cook.

DECORATING FOR CHRISTMAS
We always decorate our tree the day after Thanksgiving.

Brooklyn with the Christmas puppies.

PIANO RECITAL
The kids did a great job at their piano recital.  Maddy played the Waltz of the Flowers.  Nathan preformed O Come All Ye Faithful and Abby played the Piano Guys' version of O Come, O Come Emmanuel.  Here is Abby with her new teacher Hillary Albrecht.

GINGERBREAD HOUSES
This year we did a Gingerbread village so each chid could make their own mini house.  Audrey really enjoyed decorating her house herself.

BAYLOR CHRISTMAS

Audrey loved meeting Lolly and all her favorite characters from Candyland.

Audrey really enjoyed riding on a pony for the first time.

Texans have to be creative without snow so they had a fake ice skating (which didn't work well) and tubing inflatable.  We enjoying tubing down the fake hill.

MAYBORN FUN
Maddy building and Audrey being a vet.

Brooklyn loves the special baby section.
