ARTS AND CRAFTS DAY

For the last week of homeschool we decided to mix things up a bit.  We had a math day, music day, reading day and an arts and crafts day.  On art day we painted in the morning and by afternoon I needed a nap so I gave the kids some crafts supplies and told them to use their imagination to create something on their own.  Here is what they came up with.
Abby made a heart decoration and this cute baby chick.
Nathan made a space ship out of this box.

Maddy made this flower wreath for her doll.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES

Audrey was invited to several birthday parties this month.  She had fun hitting pinatas, playing with nursery friends, and eating lots of sweets.

BROOKLYN GRACE

Brooklyn has won all our hearts with her smiles and cuddles.  Is there anything sweeter than a baby sleeping in your arms?

Audrey loves Brooklyn, but she sometimes gets quite jealous of her.  We need to protect Brooklyn at times because Audrey is very curious and doesn't realize that she can't treat her like a baby doll.  One time she tried sticking her finger in Brooklyn's mouth and ended up gagging her.

When we sit Brooklyn up, Audrey says that she is a cute babysitter.
When Brooklyn gets fussy we know all we have to do it put her on her tummy.  It is her favorite sleeping position.  We just have to watch her to make sure she doesn't stop breathing.

I had to take a few pictures of our lucky leprechaun in her St. Patrick's day clothes before she outgrew them.  She has grown so much from when she first wore this outfit as a newborn.

GOOD BYE CRANNEYS
My sister Rachel's husband got a job teaching at BYU so they packed up quickly and moved this month.  They will be sorely missed.  Levi game me some sweet smiles before they left.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY JARED
The kids sure love their Daddy.  They made him some nice cards and gave him the LEGO movie for Father's day.
Brooklyn laughing and playing with her dad.

FAMILY FUN

She's 2 and a half and I just finished her baby quilt.  I'm a little behind schedule.  All the other kids got theirs when they were still babies.  These last few years have been super busy.

The kids had fun building a giant blanket fort.

We have a chess set but the kids decided a LEGO one would be more fun, so they designed their own using good guy and bad guy LEGO mini figures.
Abby playing the piano.  She recently finished the Alfred piano series and will soon need a more advanced teacher.

Audrey's hair is finally long enough for pig tails.  So cute!

It is too hot to do anything but swim in the summer so that's what we've been doing.  The kids enjoy the last day of swim lessons, which is safety day.  They like getting tipped over on the boat.
