Living Museum actors at Lincoln's home
Lincoln reading on his porch
We had a wonderful tour of Lincoln's home.
The Lincoln museum was fabulous.
Lincoln's cabinet--it is amazing how he was able to bring rivals together for the good of the country.
Brooklyn with Lincoln's family.

We spent an amazing 4.5 hrs at the Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio. It's free, and I highly recommend stopping by if you are driving through. It has the biggest collection of military aircraft in the world. Some highlights include some Wright Brothers planes, several WWI fighter planes, The Memphis Belle, a B-2 stealth bomber, "Bockscar" (the B-29 that dropped one of the atomic bombs), a B-24 Liberator (described as a flying coffin in the book Unbroken), an SR-71, a space shuttle crew compartment trainer, and some retired Air Force One planes including FDR's, Truman's, and JFK's. We also got to try out some 360 degree flight simulators, although I don't recommend flying in one piloted by your 7 year old unless you have a very strong stomach.

Jared got excited about this F-4 formerly in use by the Idaho ANG.

WASHINGTON DC TEMPLE
SARAH AND GORDON'S HOUSE

Fat man
After many long days of driving, we stopped in some nice hotels for some swimming and shorter driving days.
We drove by the beautiful DC temple which is now so close to us. We are excited for it to be dedicated soon so we can attend.
Our house wasn't quite ready for us when we arrived in the area, so Sarah and Gordon were kind enough to let us stay at their empty house while they were on vacation in Utah.
The girls had fun making patterns with their wooden blocks.
NEIGHBOR FRIENDS
We have a gate in our back fence that connects to the neighbor's yard. Their little girls come over and play with Brooklyn and Audrey every day. They have so much fun together. These are pictures from a birthday party of one of the girls. They invited us all over to do Tie-dye and play with water.
Probably our favorite thing about this rental is the beautiful backyard. It is so green!
