RIDES
Our first ride was Chevrolet Test Track. The older kids had fun designing and testing a race car while Audrey and Brooklyn had fun trying out the new cars in the showroom. After this we did the ride Soarin' which was one of Disney's new 3D simulator rides that make it feel like you are flying around the world on a hang glider. This ended up being our favorite ride of the day.
Boat ride in "The Land" area where we learned about agriculture and different growing techniques. They have amazing hydroponics and aquaponics setups where they grow much of the food used in the restaurants at Walt Disney World.
We enjoyed "The Seas" area where we were able to see some live Manatees. We also enjoyed Turtle Talk with Crush where a 3D simulated animated Crush talks and interacts with the kids. Nathan even got called on to participate.
The old Spaceship Earth ride broke down for 20 minutes while we were on it, so we were only able to catch the tail end of the Chinese acrobats, but other than that we were able to see and do everything we wanted. We enjoyed all the rides, but the favorite for all the older kids and adults was Soarin'. Audrey really like the Frozen Ever After ride, but she got a bit scared by the snow monster, and both she and Brooklyn started screaming when we suddenly dropped down a small flume and got splashed with water.
MEETING ELSA AND ANNA
Audrey showing Elsa the Elsa picture on her shirt.
Talking with Elsa
Getting a hug from a "real princess."
Miniature village in Germany
Japanese tea garden
Mary Poppins at Great Britain
The kids enjoyed visiting all of the country pavilions. They especially liked Italy where they got to try Gelato, and the France pavilion where they tried some crepes and baguettes.
The firework show at the end of the day was spectacular!
