DECEMBER FUN
Celebrating Christmas at the Mayborn Museum. The kids always enjoy the yearly train exhibit.
Audrey loves being Mary and holding the little baby Jesus.
The kids each met Santa. He won Audrey's heart by giving her a candy cane. She still talks about it all the time.
The kids each did a wonderful job performing at their Christmas recital. Nathan was nervous about his first recital, but his performance of Good King Wenceslas was flawless.
The kids helped act out the nativity at our ward Christmas party. Nathan and his cousin Christian were shepherds.
Maddy and Abby were sweet angels.
Now that it has finally cooled down, we took a trip to the zoo which was almost completely empty since Texans don't do cold. It was nice to have the zoo to ourselves and the animals were much more active than normal since they were trying hard to stay warm.
For Family Home Evening the kids made a LEGO nativity and acted out the story for us with their LEGO figures.
The kids got to act out the Nativity once again at the Mayborn Museum. Here is Nathan using his shepherd's crook to bring in Audrey as a sheep who kept wandering away.
Abby was Mary and Maddy played the part of an angel.
Audrey cuddling "Audrey's Nathan." She also talks about "Audrey's Daddy, Audrey's Mommy, Audrey's Maddy, and Audrey's Abby."
Audrey playing peek a boo.
CHRISTMAS EVE
Nathan, Abby, and Maddy did a great job playing Christmas songs to go with our Nativity program on Christmas Eve.
Audrey and Joshua made a cute Mary and Joseph.
Abby played Samuel the Lamanite and the rest of the kid had fun throwing rocks (socks) at her.
On the way to Bethlehem.
The boys did a good job being shepherds and wisemen.
We had a delicious appetizer party. It was nice that it was warm enough that the kids could eat outside.
The kids in their cute jammies from Grandma. All ready to go to bed.
The girls sewed and set out miniature stockings and fake cookies and carrots for Santa from their dolls.
CHRISTMAS DAY
The girls were excited about their doll wardrobes and dresses from Santa.
Audrey loves sitting in her new rocking chair and singing to her baby doll.
Jared did a great job singing "O Holy Night" and "Shine for me Again, Star of Bethlehem." The kids also did a good job singing several Primary songs and "Tiny King." Celebrating Christ's birth with music was the perfect way to start our Christmas morning.
The kids in their Christmas plaid. It just makes my Scottish heart happy.
NEW YEARS EVE
Our family finished reading the entire Book of Mormon on New Year's Eve. We met our family goal just in time.
We had a fun game night and celebrated with sparkling cider.
MATCHING
Audrey loves matching her two older sisters. Here they are in their matching dresses from Santa.
The girls reading in their matching Love jammies.
