April 2016

BELATED EASTER PICTURES

ABBY
Abby loves sewing and crafts.  Here is an outfit she designed with a fashion design kit she got for her birthday.

On April Fools she decided to decorate the fruit and vegetables with google eyes and smilely faces.  She turned one of the spaghetti squash into a minion.  We also gave the cousins a plate of brown Es (Paper letter Es that were colored brown).

Dressing up in the Around the World Room at the Mayborn.

FUN WITH COUSINS

At the zoo with their Cranney cousins.

Swinging at the park.

Doing crafts with some fun supplies sent by Grandma D.

The kids came up with some interesting people.

MADDY

COTTON BELT TRAIL

We discovered a new path not too far from our home where we can walk and ride bikes with the kids.

The trail is actually quite pretty.  We've seen lots of wildlife along the trail, including vultures, cardinals, butterflies, turtles, lightning bugs, rabbits, a water snake, and a beaver.

BUTTERFLIES

Our family has enjoyed watching the caterpillars grow, spin chrysalises, and emerge as beautiful butterflies.

After watching them for a few days, we released them into our back yard.

NEW LIBRARY
Hewitt just got a beautiful, new library.  They kids really enjoy the outside area that is part of the library.
They especially like the butterfly bench.

AUDREY PICTURES

Audrey found her big sisters' set of doll table and chairs.  She brought it out of the closet and set it up with so she could sit there with the doll.  She then folded her arms and bowed her head as if she were praying.
Audrey likes to pretend she is eating her toy food and then she puts it down her onesie.  It looks like she ate a lot.

Audrey wanted to stand at her podium for General Conference.
Driving her car.
We have tried teaching Audrey that she needs to wear a hat to go outside.  She will often find one of her hats and brings it to me to show that she wants to go outside.  One day she couldn't find a hat, but decided her orange play bowl would work.  She put it on and said, "Go side."
She loves playing with her wagon.

Audrey is also a big fan of swinging.

MARY'S BIRTHDAY

Jared made me a healthy "cake" (pineapple covered in strawberries) for my birthday.  I loved it!

I was super excited when Jared and his parents got together to buy me my very own Beddy's bed for my birthday.  It zips up so it is super easy to make each morning.  I absolutely love it!

Me on my birthday with my sweet children.  I didn't get a picture with Jared, but he took me a nice birthday date while my sweet sister Rachel watched our kids.

NATHAN
Ever since General Conference, we've been trying to do better about having one on one time with the kids.  We decided to set aside time on Saturday mornings for one of us to take one of the kids out.  Nathan chose hiking for his daddy-son outing.  Here he is learning to identify poison ivy.

One of their trails was flooded due to the rain.

Nathan climbing a tree.

Nathan has finally mastered riding a bike.  We are really proud of him learning this new skill.  He even did great on a 3 mile bike ride that went both up and down hills.

JARED

Jared has been busy at work and serving in the church, but he always makes time for us.  He is a great dad, and he makes his wife happy each day.
