Nathan's 6th Birthday

NATHAN'S 6th BIRTHDAY

So even number birthdays are supposed to be small family affairs, while the kids are allowed to have friend parties on their odd numbered years.  However, since I am a sucker for my cute kids, this small family party got a little out of hand.  Nathan really had his heart set on a Star Wars party, and after he saw me looking for ideas on Pinterest, he started getting his hopes up for something big.

Maddy decided she was going to dress up like Princess Leia for the party.
The kids with their Cranney cousins.
They played, "Pin the light saber on Yoda."
They played a game where they had to jump on rocks to avoid the hot lava.
When they landed on the lucky number rock when the music stopped they got their prize--a dollar store light saber.

We turned off all the lights in the house and the kids had to go into all the bedrooms and halls to destroy all the evil storm troopers (white balloons with faces drawn on them).
At the end the kids destroyed the death star pinata (a grey Chinese lantern).

Nathan with his Birthday cake.  He was excited about the Star Wars figures Maddy and Abby got him to go on his cake.
Here's a wish for another wonderful year!
