September 2018 Update

MOVING IN
We thought we were prepared for Arizona heat because of our years in Texas, but we were not.  Even at the end of September it is still 100 degrees or more everyday.  We are looking forward to October when everyone tells us things start to cool down a bit.

A new house is never complete without a trip to IKEA.  Brooklyn and Audrey took a shopping break in the kid section.  Audrey loved the tents, but Brooklyn was like Goldilocks and just wanted to try out all the chairs.

FAMILY FUN

Brooklyn playing the piano.

Brooklyn was really excited when she found this small bottle of Jared's acne medication so I followed her to see what she did with it when she ran out of the room with it.  It turns out she thought it was the perfect bottle for her baby doll.

Abby having fun with the googly eyes as we were unpacking.
Audrey learned about service at church and was kind enough to zip my bed for me and leave me this cute smiley face.
Brooklyn and Audrey playing dress up.
Audrey wanted to try out the Rapunzel wig.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

After giving myself a few weeks to get settled, we started up homeschool.  We planned on sending Abby to a local public or charter school, but after touring several schools we didn't feel right about any of them, so we decided to continue to homeschool for now.  I guess I'm going to have to brush up on my Algebra.

HARP LESSONS

After much searching, I finally found a harp teacher for Maddy.  We lucked out because Sherry Cook also teaches flute, so we now have a harp and flute teacher in Arizona.

JARED'S WHITE COAT CEREMONY

The kids all got dressed up for Jared's white coat ceremony, so I couldn't resist getting a few pictures.

Before the ceremony we had fun touring campus and seeing where Jared has his dental simulation clinic.

THOMAS' 6TH BIRTHDAY
We celebrated Thomas' 6th birthday on the same day as Jared's white coat ceremony.
